A couple who gets married in New York State needs to apply for a marriage license in person to any town or city clerk in the state. The application must be signed by the bride and groom in the presence of the town or city clerk. The fee is twenty-five dollars. There is a twenty-four hour waiting period before you may marry. The officiant sends in the completed license after performing the ceremony to the clerks office who issues a certificate of marriage within 15 days to the couple.
The license authorizes the ceremony to take place by an authorized person. This person is referred to as an officiant. Our officiants are non-denominational ministers who can perform marriages in all 50 states. Reverend Patrick McHugh or Rev. J. McHugh will perform your ceremony.
Our Tying The Knot Package consists of a rehearsal the evening before, the actual ceremony including wireless microphones, so that your guests may hear the vows, ceremonial music carefully planned with the bride and groom and played by Phenomenon Sound.
After the ceremony, the officiant is required to return the completed “Affidavit, License and Certificate of Marriage” within five days to the clerks office.

Reverend McHugh is available to marry other couples who have not booked with Phenomenon Events. His charges are $350.00 plus travel.
